Recently, I was having trouble framing a picture to appropriately capture a visual image, primarily struggling with how the only way to capture the essence of the picture was to turn off the flash. And I sort of had a moment of zen.

Hmmm - remember Medford, Oregon? The little bar with live music? The old woman with the cigarette? The martini?
IITG: I never knew the treasure trove of information I was sitting on when I studied Sangathamizh in high school. This line, along with yaathum oore yaavarum kelir, stuck with me and their meanings get redefined with every life experience.

Jun: Curiously enough that was exactly what I thought of while back-lighting that bottle of Pinot. I regret not having the camera handy at that time.
Puranaanuru for photography? Great. Incidentally, it's my fave Tamil verse, and pretty much the only poem I can recite in Tamil.
