Something that the folly of youth produced. Dedicated to Frida's "Roots" which was not the inspiration but provided the visual image that came closest to my thoughts.HEARTICULTURE
Seeds...
Different seeds...
Different fruits...
unstable trees...
Indifferent roots...
Roots...
Roots of discontent...
spread like fire...
wasteful effort spent...
with no desire...
Desire...
Flights of desire...
Anonymous thought...
lost in a mire...
totalling nought...
Nought...
Primordial nought...
the womb that feeds...
Like seeds...

Compli, I saw this over at Sharanya's yesterday and it made me recall the Frida "Roots" visual that (you said) fueled this (timeless?) verse of yours.
ReplyDeleteNow, it would have been a perfectly valid thing to do, to think "ah, I remember reading this at Compli's" and then go my own way, without bothering to register my response here. But that somehow feels wrong...as in, you see a kid in the streets, stranded, lost, and you suddenly remember someone whom who think might "know" this kid; doesn't it then behoove you to act upon your impulse to close the connection? Of course, often times, in life, you're in way too much of a hurry headed wherever it is that you're headed, to do this sort of good-Samaritan thing. But not to "connect the orphaned dots" whenever feasible, feels criminally negligent, no? Of course, there's a caveat to this "conscientiousness" (for lack of a better term), which is that even so-called good deeds come with consequences. And one must learn to live with them.
On a lighter note, what's life if not a series of 'con' sequences (with Red One trying to capture Super 8!), heh? :)
