Shaitan, Eesan and...

  1. Compli, I haven't read the last couple of your reviews yet, but went ahead and read this FirstPost one yesterday and really really liked it! I love how you tie the "flowing dark red liquid" reference in the beginning to "differing moral ethos" by the end. In light of this, it's interesting to note the inevitable interplay between the two liquids and especially the role "direction" (of flow) plays: Soaring (blood-alcohol levels), leading to spilling (of blood).

PS: Only gripe, if any, is the misplaced apostrophe in "their films", last para. (Argh! Hate Bait!) :)

  2. SS: Thanks. For some reason Word kept correcting "their films' " and I guess the editors decided something was wrong. They are pretty meticulous.

  3. Meticulous my arse! A good editorial gut call would have been to ax the apostrophe. (Maybe Word kept correcting coz the plural "films" DOES NOT need one?)

Aaarrggh!! How can I be completely at ease with gaping holes in my life, but have my blood boil over a pesky punctuation mark? I don't get myself at all!!! (But seriously, if I'm gonna have my jaw drop reading a sentence, I'd much rather it NOT be due to my tripping over protruding punctuation! Phew... that rant felt good.)
